Selvi Jayalalithaa Jayaram (born 24 February 1948, and commonly referred to as J. Jayalalitha), is the Chief Minister of the state of Tamilnadu, India. She was a popular film star in Indian cinema before her entry into politics, having appeared in many Tamil and Telungu films, as well as several produced in Hindi and Kannada. She is the incumbent general secretary of All India Anna Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam(AIADMK). She is called Amma ('Mother') and Puratchi Thalaivi ('Revolutionary Leader') by her followers.
Although there have been claims that Jayalalithaa was introduced to politics by M.G.Ramachandran, she has denied this. She was a member of the Rajya Shaba
elected from Tamil Nadu during the period of 1984–89. Soon after the
death of Ramachandran, Jayalalithaa proclaimed herself as his political
heir. She is the first elected female Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu

சோழர்கள் காலத்தில் ஸ்ரீரங்கத்தில் வைணவர்களின் வாழ்க்கை சிக்கலானதும் அங்கிருந்து பல குடும்பங்கள் பல்வேறு ஊர்களுக்கு இடம் பெயர்ந்தன. இப்படி இடம் பெயர்ந்த ஐம்பதுக்கும் மேற்பட்ட குடும்பங்கள் கர்நாடக மாநிலம் மேல்கோட்டைக்குச் சென்றன. அந்தக் குடும்பங்களில் ஜெயலலிதாவின் தாத்தாவுடைய குடும்பமும் ஒன்று. அவர் இந்த ஊரிலிருந்த கோவில் ஒன்றில் அர்ச்சகராக இருந்தார். இவரது அன்னை சந்தியா ஒரு தமிழ்த் திரைப்பட நடிகை ஆவார். இதனால் சென்னையில் வசித்து வந்த ஜெயலலிதாவிற்கு பள்ளிப்படிப்பின் இறுதியிலேயே திரைப்பட வாய்ப்புகள் வந்தன. ஜெயலலிதா ஸ்ரீதர் இயக்கிய வெண்ணிற ஆடை என்கிற படத்தின் மூலம் தமிழ்த் திரையுலகில் நடிகையாக அறிமுகமானார்.

Dr.புரட்சி தலைவி அம்மா ஜெ.ஜெயலலிதா அ. தி. மு. க. வில் இணைந்து,அக்கட்சியின் கொள்கை பரப்புச் செயலாளர் ஆனார். அதன் பிறகு நாடாளுமன்ற மாநிலங்களவை உறுப்பினராகத் தேர்வு செய்யப் பெற்று பணியாற்றினார். எம். ஜி. இராமச்சந்திரனின்மறைவுக்கு பிறகு இரண்டு ஆண்டுகள் கழித்து 1989 ஆண்டில் அ. தி. மு. கவின் தலைமைப் பொறுப்பேற்று அதன் பொதுச்செயலாளர் ஆனார்.

1) Free Laptop for all Higher Secondry Students and Art & Science college
students.
2) Community and other certificates will be issued in the School.
3) Govt School students will get four sets of uniforms with chappal and Pvt
School students will get stipend.
4) 20Kg Rice for all ration card holders.
5) Free cable connection for public and cable TV will be Govt owned.
6) Free Mixer, Grinder & Fan for households.
7) Mobile hospital to serve the needs in their home.
8) Poor people will be given Rs.1.80lakhs as subsidy for home construction.
